The Aero Club
Ahh, the Aero Club. We’ve all seen it, and we’ve all thought the same thing passing it on the 5 North. “What the hell kind of dive is that?” That’s were you would be wrong. Matt and I were pleasantly surprised to see that The Aero Club has it’s act together.
The beer selection isn’t incredible by any means, but adequate for a weeknight bar run. The bartender was super cool, pretty well informed about beer and just a little smarmy(just the way we lik em’) They had a good selection of music playing, and the place never felt pretentious or “scenester”
I had a Racer 5 IPA to start followed up by an Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale. Matt started with Alesmith Evil Dead Red also had the Oaked. The bottle selection was pretty weak, and the lack of food are the only real negatives that I can see. Free Wifi and plenty of outlets to plug in laptops is a definite plus. For those of you that don’t enjoy beer(GASP!) they have an amazing array of liquor to choose from. There is something like 20 different types of vodka. So, if that’s your thing, you’re covered.
While I may have had reservations about going to the Aero Club, it’s definitely a place that I will be returning to. Maybe next time Gretty and Rhawn could join us.
