O’Briens Pub

O’Briens Pub Logo O’Briens Pub is our favorite place to grab some unique beers and excellent food. It’s not exactly a sports bar but they do show many soccer tournaments and Chargers games on their wide array of TVs. The large outdoor patio is the perfect spot to enjoy your food & beer while hanging out with your furry friends. Their massive bottle list and extensive tap selection boggles the mind.

Gretchen and I head here at least twice a month (sometimes more), our last visit was for the Chargers vs Packers game. The bar was about 60% full for the game with almost everyone cheering for the Chargers (minus Gretchen and some random old dude).

I didn’t come here to lose weight or save money. –O’Briens Pint Glass

O’Briens OutsideThe Food
★★★★☆
I’ve ordered many items off the menu, nothing disappoints. My personal favorites are: garlic fries, nachos, jalapeno tuna melt & the veggie sandwich. Reviewing their menu again, it appears as though they’ve added some new options. Looks like we’ll be headed back sooner than I though. :)

Do you love garlic? I mean, really, love it? Try the garlic fries. They are a healthy serving of large cut french fries topped with a ton of fresh garlic. Fantastically delicious. That is, unless you’re Archie, then you won’t like these at all. But then again, no one likes Archie anyways!

Did you check the links I posted at the beginning of the article? Check them out to get an idea of what you’re getting yourself into here.

There are always 20 fantastic beers on tap and if you’re overwhelmed by the selection, simply ask any of the bartenders. They know their stuff and will point you in the direction you want to go. This past Sunday I had the pleasure of trying a Craftsman Brewing - Point Five, which is kind of a 1/2 IPA, nice & hoppy without too much alcohol, the perfect breakfast beer. Followed that up with an Alpine Beer Company - Pure Hoppiness, one of my personal favorites. Every Thursday they have a cask from a local brewery they update their site with whatever is coming in.

I can’t really get into their bottle list here, it’s massive. You’re on your own to review it on their site, O’Briens massive bottle list.
